Locking Assemblies
Locking assemblies/clamping units are used as keyless mounting devices. They provide for transmission of higher torques and a self-centering ability in rotating machinery. Applications include pulleys, conveyors, turbine rotor. flywheels, brake drums, sprockets and self-mounted gear units.
Similar to ETP Keyless Bushes these products replace keys and keyways based on the wedge principle: the axial load of the screws generated through the tapers develop a high radial force that locks the hub and shaft using frictional forces.
Our principals have been in this competitive field for the past 30 years and is a major player in the US, Australian and European market. They were also the first Italian company to receive an ISO certificate way back in 1960.
MAV range encompasses a range from 6m to 600mm (as a standard shaft diameter). a wide range of models to suit varied lengths of products being mounted, run out characteristics (self-centering and non self-centering) and torque being transmitted. They have built up unique and expertise experience in designing and manufacturing clamping units to conform to individual requirements with various types of coatings (for critical environment applications).
The MAV Locking Devices meet both the advantage of forced fit system and semplified installation-removal. It is based on the wedge principle: the axial load of the scews generates through the tapers a high radial force that locks the parts by fricition.
